High-priced insurance industry lobbyists have set their sights on Insurance Commissioners across the country in an effort to undermine the implementation of the new health care law. That’s because they know that the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has been tasked with drafting a list of insurance industry regulations for Dept. of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius as part of the new law.

TAKE A STAND AGAINST INSURANCE INDUSTRY ABUSE!
When Anthem Blue Cross didn’t think their rate hike would be reviewed, they raised rates up to 39% without bothering to check the math. Once Anthem Blue Cross’ rate hike came under public scrutiny and needed justification to regulators - thanks to you - they came back with a significantly lower rate increase.
Most recently, insurance provider Aetna withdrew proposals to raise rates as high as 19% for California consumers on the individual health insurance market only after significant mathematical errors were found!
These, and countless other examples of insurance industry abuse and errors, demonstrate the overwhelming need to introduce more regulatory oversight of the wealthy insurance industry here in California!
